working on trail issues and some horse facility issues.
1) The hard work by Northern California v.p Janet Peterson and the
equine community in the Folsom area trying to save trails for horses
against the maneuvering from State Parks in going against an
agreement on trails in that area.
2) The General Plan update of the El Dorado Forest and fighting
against the Forest Service taking away areas to park rigs.
3)Working in the Carpenteria area on the Cold Springs trail. A trail
that is very dangerous, where State Parks continues to want this
trail for "multi-use"
4) Working with Nancy DuPont and the Heritage Trails group in saving
horse trails on Mount Diablo.
5) Still working on the Cuyamaca debacle (Peggy Martin) with State
Parks on the removal of a perfectly good trail head and area for horses.
6) Working with Malibu Valley Farms in saving this beautiful horse
facility from the clutches of the Coastal Commission
7) Southern v.p Lynn Brown is keeping up on the Griffith Park and
Los Angeles area (with the help of Mary Benson
There are many more issues to report on,but I will continue next
month. (promise)
