Haertel Joins Back
Country Horsemen of America
Graham WA January 29, 2008 - The Back Country Horsemen of America is happy to announce that
Kandee Haertel has joined its staff as the Director of Development.
Her experience as past Executive Director of the Equestrian Lands Conservation
Resource shows that Kandee understands what it means to be a horseback rider as
well as her way up the trail. In this position, Kandee will assist
with strengthening the national's programs and developing new initiatives.

of America was formed as a service organization working in the back country and
educating the users of the back country. We are determined to protect the
heritage of back country stock use by keeping the back country trails open to
saddle and pack stock. Kandee has the knowledge and experience to
take Back Country Horsemen of America to the next developmental step. She
knows the infrastructure that is necessary and she is adept
at working with a board of directors and the general public", said
Mike Reedy, Chair of Back Country Horsemen of America. "As the folks
who get out and do over a 136,000 hours of trail work in America's back country
annually, the Back Country Horsemen of America is very pleased to have Kandee
Haertel on its team."

Back Country Horsemen of
